What We Actually Do
We work on garage doors and the hardware that runs them: torsion and extension springs, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels. Most of the houses we get called to in Longmont went up somewhere between 1952 and 2010, with a lot of that stock dating to the 1980s and 90s across the area's named neighborhoods. That range matters because it means we're dealing with a mix of original steel doors on older torsion setups and newer sectional doors with heavier insulation packages, and the fixes aren't the same for both.
We're based at 1111 Delaware Ave in Longmont and run jobs out from there through the surrounding area, including Niwot, Mead, Frederick, Firestone, Gunbarrel, Lyons, Erie, Berthoud, Dacono, Lafayette, Johnstown, Louisville, Platteville, and a handful of other towns within a short drive. Winters here get genuinely cold, and that changes what fails and when. Steel contracts, lubricant thickens, and springs that were already tired tend to let go on the first hard freeze of the season. We size springs and weatherstripping with that in mind rather than treating every door the same regardless of climate.

What We Do Not Take On
We don't do new home construction framing or structural work around a garage opening - that's a carpentry and permitting job, not a door repair. If a door has been hit hard enough that the frame itself is out of square, we'll tell you that straight rather than bolt a new door onto a bent jamb and call it fixed.
We also don't chase every off-brand opener part. Some of the older openers in the 1980s and 90s-era houses around here use control boards or remotes that were discontinued years ago, and if the manufacturer no longer makes the part, we're not going to pretend we can source it overnight. In those cases the honest answer is usually a new opener rather than a repair, and we'll say so instead of stretching out a job that won't hold.
We don't do gate openers, commercial rolling steel doors, or fire doors. Those are different hardware, different codes, and different tools than what we run. If a call comes in for one of those, we'll say it's outside what we do rather than take the job and figure it out as we go.
