Houses on These Streets
We don't have a street list for North Boulder, so we're not going to pretend we know your block. What we do know is the era. This stretch of the service area went up mostly in the 1980s and 90s, which is a different animal from the older 1950s-60s pockets closer to the center of town.
That means the doors and openers we see out here are usually chain-drive units and torsion-spring setups from that same twenty-year window, not the older extension-spring doors with exposed cables that show up on the original 1950s stock. A torsion spring rated for that era has usually put in 25,000 to 40,000 cycles by now, which is past where most residential springs are supposed to retire even if the door still opens fine on the remote.
We also see a fair number of steel doors going in as replacements rather than repairs, since a door from the 90s that's starting to sag or bind is often not worth chasing part by part. We're not going to tell you your door needs replacing without seeing it. But if the spring, the rollers, and the opener gear are all failing around the same time, that's the age talking, not bad luck.
Getting Booked In
North Boulder sits about 12 miles southwest of our shop, which puts it on the far side of the map we run out of Longmont. We can get out there, but a call from this corner usually gets scheduled alongside other stops in the same direction rather than sent as a one-off truck run.
That's not a knock against the area, it's just routing. If your spring snaps on a Tuesday morning, we'll tell you honestly whether same-day is realistic once we see how the day's route is shaping up. Twelve miles is close to the edge of where we can promise a same-day slot without qualifying it.
Household incomes in this part of the service area run well above the county median, and what we see from that is more owners choosing a full insulated steel replacement over a patched repair once a door starts failing in more than one place at once. That's a call worth having with a tech in person, not over the phone, since it depends on what's actually wrong with your door.
